Hi friends..
This time it is not a poem or a verse. If we just think deeply about our lives, I feel there are are various things that we are missing.
Till school we are not much aware of our own life.it just becomes a routine and we follow it blindly.After that during college time we start knowing life. Sometimes we take it so casually, sometimes we feel it too complex. Some just run after career in a way that a time comes when see that he is lost.
He lost the fun of life fun with friends. The whole life parents take care of us but suddenly we start giving more importance to friends. Its not that we start neglecting them or not attached to them but we start missing our friends but rarely our parents. Hats off to our parents that they never complain.

Just think of our girls’ life. It’s damn tough. Firstly we always have our parents with us. Then our parents only start finding someone who can take care. We have grown up in such a environment which taught us to be free to be independent. But we never get a chance to be independent. And then they face the challenge of caste creed and all horrible things. This society is so horrible that people gets divided just because of this stupid reason. What’s the use that we study that we are all one? People should be treated equally.
These are all bookish things. In India what we study always remain in books. And the society is still the same as it was 100 years back.
Neither can it develop. In the age of marriage it is always expected that we have a homely nature, why can’t the other one help equally. It is always asked that what does the boy do, how much he earns and what’s the profile. And for us it just asked which caste and weather homely or not. We are equally educated and equally talented but what the use no one feels it.Even if we earn it’s just fine and it does not even matter to them. Don’t we have any importance? And the worse thing many of us just ruins their present life thinking of that they will be pushed to a well. But it’s the story of all girls, why to waste our present life. We get a independent life for a very short span, just enjoy to fullest. Because it is just impossible to change this society. It’s just the youth says no to these things but in a long run they also simply change.

Girls knowing all these fact happily accept it and never complain. But this does not mean that we don’t have any dreams but we just don’t show. Although girls continue with their job it is just treated as side job. Never gets that importance the opposite sex gets. Then just for children lots and lots of sacrifices. Boys still say it’s just our duty. They expect a lot and sometimes if it is not fulfilled then we are wrong. It is very truly said if you are the best and once u did a wrong deed even unknowingly u will be remembered for that. Boys can have their full life planning their career and all.
But girls can always have a plan till marriage because she never knows where and how will she stay. It’s totally a new life for her. I am not saying that boys are wrong but in any case why can’t we get the equal importance .Why are we never given a chance to be independent. Why is the society still male dominant.

ReplyDeleteDear ,that is a very good post-aggressive,resenting as well as motivating at the same time. I think society is made from peaceful coexistence of both male and female. Each(male as well as female) has some very unique skill sets and qualities that is why marriage makes them complete.It should not be viewed as one being dominant on other. Rather i would say it is girl who can have biggest influence on whole society as she raises the kid and is the first teacher. Yes i agree there are some sections in our society where girls are still not treated at par with boy. But it can be solved only through awareness,encouragement,education and financial independence of girls.Just keep your fingers crossed.With the overall growth in economy, society is also maturing and situation is improving gradually.We should be active participants of change rather than be just meek observers.

ReplyDeleteWhat ever u wrote does make sense :)but the society is changing now and the difference between boys and girls are gradually diminishing in metro cities ... It is only in urban areas and non metro cities where the difference between boys and girls is quite prevalent ... and India has been a male dominant society but hope we see pendulum shifting in favor of girls in the near future ... and remember it is persons like me and you which makes the society now so if I can change my and if You can change then every body can change and can make a society which treats men and women equally :) cheers !!!
ReplyDeleteHey Parmita...Happened to come across your post..Don't completely agree with all that you mention..It could be true in some circumstances but nowadays society is opening up...Girls are holding their head high and achieving whatever they set their heart at..there could be roadblocks but then that's what makes us stronger and the success all the more sweeter :)
